When can I go on exchange again?

When Can I Go on Exchange Again?

Traveling alone or going on exchange to another country might be one of the things you want to do during your student time or before you get a serious job. Exploring new places and meeting new people are certainly a fun experience and contribute to your personal development. However, in times of a pandemic, this is sadly also one of the things that seem impossible at the moment. Hopefully, soon it will be possible to do an internship or volunteering project again!

Where and when can I go?

Safety of the exchange participants is the priority and travel advice changes constantly. The outgoing exchange teams keep a close eye on this as well as on local restrictions and regulations. From January 2021 onwards, exchanges within Europe are planned to start picture of lisbon rooftops from exchange participantagain. Our partner countries in Europe are Italy, Portugal, Poland, Belgium and Austria. Exchanges outside of Europe will start again from November 2021 with our new country partners like Colombia, Sri Lanka or Indonesia to go on a volunteering project.

How do I get to know more?

Organizing an exchange requires some preparation, and the pandemic has made this even more difficult. Therefore, AIESEC facilitates free personal info chats with our members from the outgoing exchange teams. If you sign up on our website, someone from your local AIESEC office will contact you for more information tailored to your situation.

A life-changing experience started for me in January 2020. I left behind all the fear and doubts and I said Yes to an adventure, miles away from the Netherlands. I spent 2 amazing months in São Paulo, Brazil, that I can only describe as “unforgettable”. My main...
