What happens when I sign up on aiesec.nl?

Signing up can sound like a big commitment, right? In the case of aiesec.nl, it isn’t.
But what happens when you sign up? And why should you do it? Let’s have a look at it step by step, and you’ll see that signing up to AIESEC is not the big commitment is might seem to be.

What happens when you sign up?

1. When you sign up on aiesec.nl, you’re asked to answer a couple of questions. These include the basics – name, e-mail, mobile number – as well as a password and your university/institution.
We ask you to create a password because by signing up on aiesec.nl, you automatically get an AIESEC profile through which you can look through and even apply for projects. Since this is your personal, private account, you can choose your own password.
We ask for your university/institution to be able to pair you up with the closest AIESEC office that will help you out from that moment on. AIESEC The Netherlands has offices in 11 cities around the country.

So, say you live in Amsterdam, your contact information will be given to our office in Amsterdam.

2. Once your information has entered our system and been sent to the AIESEC office in your city, AIESEC board members of this office will contact you. We as AIESEC believe, that you can get to know the projects and us as an organization best when you see us in person, which is why we will plan a personal chat with you and one of our managers. This process is the same whether you want to volunteer,  or do an internship.

3. During this chat, you can get to know everything there possibly is to know and ask all your questions. If then you decide to move along with the process and have a closer look at the different opportunities, amazing! We’re here to help you with everything. If not, don’t worry – you’re not committed to anything financially or in any other way!

Why should you sign up?

Why shouldn’t you? It’s your free, non-committing ticket to finding out more about  and how you can volunteer responsibly, work in a kick-ass startup or boost your resume in a multinational!

Signing up is like waving at AIESEC.
You’re saying: “Hey guys, I exist and I think you could be something for me” without having to come too close.
So, what do you think? Is it time to start waving?
